| Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB), Bhopal is conducting a special Eligibility Test (TET) 2026 for teachers already teaching in primary and middle classes and who have not yet qualified the TET. It has two papers: Primary Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) and Middle School Teacher Eligibility Test (MSTET). Online applications started on 21 August 2026. As per the revised notice dated 18.09.2026, the last date to apply is now 05 October 2026 and the exam starts from 12 October 2026. |
Revised Schedule Notice (18.09.2026)
- Last date to fill the online application extended from 18.09.2026 to 05.10.2026.
- Last date to correct the online application extended from 20.09.2026 to 06.10.2026.
- The change follows a letter from the Commissioner, Public Instruction, dated 16.09.2026. The dates given in the rule book (04.09.2026 and 09.09.2026) are no longer valid.

- This is a special test for in-service teachers. Its result is not valid for direct recruitment as a government teacher in future.
- As per the Supreme Court order, in-service teachers must qualify the TET by 31 August 2028. Teachers with less than five years of service left can continue without TET, but need it for promotion.
- Exam centres are decided by MPESB, Bhopal.

- Both papers: 150 multiple-choice questions, 1 mark each, duration 2 hours 30 minutes. There is no negative marking.
- MSTET Part A is of senior secondary level. Part B is of graduation level, based on the Class 9 and 10 syllabus of Madhya Pradesh.

How to Apply for MP TET 2026 (In-Service Teachers)
- Make sure your Aadhaar registration is done. It is compulsory.
- Apply online through the MPESB website (esb.mp.gov.in) by login as a registered user, or through an MP Online kiosk.
- Choose your paper (PSTET or MSTET), fill in the details and select your languages / Part B subject.
- Pay the exam fee and portal fee online, then submit.
- Note down the application number safely. The admit card is downloaded with it.
- If you need any correction, do it before 06.10.2026.
Important Instructions for Exam Day
- Carry the admit card downloaded from the MPESB website and an original photo ID (Voter ID, PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence or Passport). An e-Aadhaar is valid only if verified by UIDAI.
- Also carry your Aadhaar card / e-Aadhaar copy, or Aadhaar number / VID details. Multi-level biometric verification is done at entry and during the exam, and your Aadhaar must be unlocked.
- Entry is allowed only up to the reporting time. Late candidates are not allowed in.
- Mobile phones, calculators, log tables, digital watches, sunglasses and any chit are strictly banned.
- Bring a black ball point pen. You cannot leave the exam room until the exam ends.
- Your eligibility is provisional. Certificates are not checked by the Board but by the concerned department later.
