| Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi has invited online applications for 55 regular non-teaching posts (Group B and Group C) in the Administrative, Technical, Library, Engineering and Rajbhasha cadres. Applications are accepted only through the SAMARTH portal. The form opened on 25 August 2026. As per the notice dated 22.09.2026, the last date to apply online is now 01 October 2026 (5:00 PM). |
Extension Notice (dated 22.09.2026)
- Last date for online application extended to 01.10.2026 (Thursday), 5:00 PM.
- Last date to submit the hard copy of the application extended to 08.10.2026, 5:00 PM.
- Internal candidates (including contractual employees) with at least 5 years of service in the Institute get upper age relaxation up to 55 years.
- An "Others" category has been added under PwD on the SAMARTH portal. Affected candidates can update their application from 22.09.2026 to 01.10.2026 only.

How to Apply for IIT BHU Non-Teaching Recruitment 2026
- Open the SAMARTH portal (iitbhunt.samarth.edu.in) and register.
- Read the advertisement and general instructions, then check that you meet the criteria for your post.
- Fill in the online form carefully. No change or correction is allowed after submission.
- Upload the required documents, pay the fee online (if applicable) and submit.
- Take a printout of the submitted form.
- Send the printout with self-attested copies of documents in a sealed envelope by Speed Post to The Registrar, IIT (BHU), Varanasi – 221005 by 08.10.2026, 5:00 PM.
- Write the application form number, advertisement number, and post name and code on the envelope.
Important Instructions
- Candidates working in Government / semi-Government organisations, autonomous bodies or educational institutions should upload an NOC and vigilance clearance. Their hard copy must be forwarded through proper channel with the employer's certification (Annexure-A) within 7 days of the last date.
- Experience must be supported by a certificate in the prescribed Annexure-A format.
- OBC candidates need a non-creamy-layer certificate not older than six months. SC / ST / OBC certificates must be in the format prescribed by the Government of India.
- All communication is by email only, so use an active email ID. Check iitbhu.ac.in/recruitment_nf regularly for updates.
- The Institute may apply stricter shortlisting criteria, change the number of vacancies, or cancel the recruitment without giving reasons.
- Representations against the shortlisting result must reach the Institute within 5 days of the list being published.
